There are literally few things I love more than gathering with the ONE Moms Advisory Board in DC at the ONE offices. I have been a ONE Mom since early last year and have loved every moment of being a part of this amazing group of bloggers and authors. You might remember I went to Kenya with ONE last summer and the White House (still reeling over that a year later). This week we all reconvened in Washington, DC for our ONE Moms meetings where we fleshed out what the rest of the year looks like, introduced more moms to the board, talked about their upcoming trip to Ethiopia, and learned more about global health policy and ONE’s plans for 2012 through 2015. It has been an energizing week of planning and strategy meetings, education, and fantastic dinners! Be sure to sign up to be a ONE Mom. There are some amazing things in the works.
Tomorrow we head to Georgetown University where we will attend the Child Survival Call to Action Summit. Be sure to follow the action over at Mom Bloggers for Social Good and my Twitter feeds: @mombloggersclub and @socialgoodmoms.
Next week I am thrilled to say I will be in Rio for Rio+Social, a social media for social good conference put on by Mashable, the UN Foundation and corporate sponsors and to take in some of the side events at Rio +20, the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. I leave on Sunday and cannot tell you how excited I am to visit South America for the first time for such amazing events. I will be blogging about my entire journey, so be braced for a lot of posts and photos. More soon!

Wow Jennifer! It sounds like our paths keep crossing! I am now involved with Results an advocacy group fighting hard at the Child Survival Call to Action too! Through my work with Shot@Life and the UN Foundation I have earned a scholarship to attend their big international Results advocacy bootcamp in DC this July. Are you familiar with Results? How do I learn more about the ONE work you are doing? Is it involved with the UN Foundation? It sounds like something I could add my skills and help out with! Awesome work you are doing and I hope to follow in your footsteps! Nicole
This is amazing, Nicole! So glad to see your passion come through for global poverty. I will email you more about ONE Moms. In the meantime you can join the movement at ONE.org/moms.
