Social Media Monitoring Company Says It Can Predict Weekly Castoffs

I admit I haven’t watched a single episode of American Idol since Melinda Doolittle was voted off during Season 6. Yes, I’m still holding a grudge! Maybe I wouldn’t have been so shocked when she was booted off had IdolStats.com been around then.

Biz360, a social media monitoring company, says it can predict those who will be going home each week by simply monitoring social media sites, forums, blogs, micro-blogs, and message boards. Makes sense, right?

Arguably the same people who are vocal on the Net will also vote the same way each week. It’s being able to correctly monitor the noise and make the right prediction that’s difficult.

Biz360’s castoff predictions will begin on April 6. Undoubtedly this is a big move for their company. If they consistently get the predictions wrong, it could damage their reputation. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for them and will be checking in to see how accurate they are.
