I find myself frequently traveling through Africa alone. I never feel scared or out of place, but I always make sure that I am staying at a very safe hotel. Speaking of west Africa, South African Airways announced that starting on August 3, they will begin a new flight direct from Washington Dulles (IAD) to Accra’s Kotoka International Airport (ACC), operating four days per week.
